Hogwash, it would be impossible for robots to become so advanced that
they could exist without humans.

If they could and we were all gone, who would care?

A few billion years from now, when all humans are long extinct, and
robots rule, what will they be saying about their creation? ;)

Don't assume they'll remember us. It's possible they could become so
advanced that they see us as irrelevant.

This is not exactly on topic, although I suppose it vaguely fits with
the Darwinian evolution of cavers discussion. Even though it does not
address the cave-adapted traits of loss of vision, increased sense of
smell, and enlarged sexual organs, it does speak to the evolution of the
armchair-caver.

Our friends in Japan have developed a new robot which should make your
life easier.

Now, can we push on to other topics??
