Idaho State to take part in cave search for human head Posted: Feb 25, 2015 9:44 AM MST Updated: Feb 25, 2015 9:45 AM MST POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) - The Idaho State University anthropology department plans to examine eastern Idaho caves in an attempt to find a missing human head that could help solve a cold-case killing. Clark County Sheriff Bart May tells KPVI-TV (http://bit.ly/1MRyuNH) that he asked the school for help. Authorities found a male torso in the Civil Defense Caves in 1979 and in 1991 found the arms and legs. The Civil Defense Caves are actually lava tubes that extend for several thousand feet. Kyra Stull of Idaho State says a team will go to the caves Friday to use a scanning device that can make a three-dimensional map. Authorities say the unidentified victim is a white male 25 to 45 years old and between 5-foot-6 and 6-foot-2.
