Ron Fieseler called this morning. No dates yet for memorial(s). There may be two--one for his statewide compadres of Texian reenactors, Republic of Texas history buffs, and black powder folks--and another one for cavers. A new Facebook group was established recently by Paula Good called Southwest Texas State Friends, and has some old photos of Charlie and other cavers in the 1970s.
For those of you who never had the pleasure of knowing him, here is a link to an entertaining 2011 video by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department called Charlie and His Cannon. You will see why he will be missed by everyone who knew him.
