Donna and I went into Cueva de Carizal years ago I think in the early 80’s. We both wore respirators and did not get sick and we were in the stream and upper passages. Later we were both tested and showed a resistance to histo. But again we had been in many bat caves. Since that time there have been numerous cases of cavers getting sick after visiting this cave.
