Modelling flow and particle transport in karst Flow and transport simulation in karst is still highly challenging. "How can the hydraulic conductivity in a karst aquifer be determined?", "Whit is the effect of partially filled caves (epiphreatic zone)?", "Is turbidity of a spring produced by particles remobilized from sediments within the aquifer or by particles coming from the surface?" 1. The breathing of karst Karst is traversed by strong fluxes of water and air. These fluxes have many implications for the whole thermics of karst massifs. They also play a role on the weathering of cave walls. Data from various places, including Lascaux cave painted 18'000 years ago will be discussed.
