Fissure 8 ( as it has been called for the passed 2 months ) is now a very
active volcano in its own majesty. USGS or somebody will have to
rename it
soon. I have seen people referring to it as Leilani Cone or Leilani
Volcano. It will be slightly bigger tomorrow and each day as long as the
fountain
pressure continues to cause it to grow. I have been watching it since it
was just a crack with steam coming out of it in some guys back yard next
to his house.

So it is unlikely that McFrolicker's Lava Cave Number One, will survive for
more than a year at most. I would bet 6 months.
The cave sits at the intersection of 2 residential streets that were buried
in about 20 feet of lava about a month ago I can get the names of those
streets, but
not sure what good that would do. They will never be rebuilt. I
would be the gov't turns this into a park once all the volcanic
activity has stopped. But my bet is the activity will remain for 2 or
3 years.

I have been posting on one of the YouTube pages that someone should write a
song about the future destruction of Ahalanui Park. I was
betting it would be Christmas when it gets destroyed, but the lava is
encroaching faster now.
