Floodwaters could get significantly colder, as the monsoon season in Asia (as
in Mexico) is considered to be the “wet and cold” season. The monsoon season is
roughly June - October, give or take a few weeks.

Don't believe everything you hear or read. I had heard someone in one of the
videos say the cave temperature was 100 degrees. I then googled the cave name

How Did the Group Avoid Hypothermia?

Hypothermia is a major concern when trapped in a wet, underground cave.
Fortunately, the ambient temperature in Tham Luang Nang Non is predicted to be
between 73 and 79 degrees Fahrenheit, but experts still
said<https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-44633601> the boys should have wrung
out their wet clothes and huddled together at nighttime for warmth. The
floodwaters themselves could get significantly colder, so the boys had to have
found high enough ground to avoid being even partially submerged.

But then Dwight Deal saw: huddled together at nighttime ????

And I wonder why would the floodwaters get significantly colder?

So take everything with a grain of salt as non-caver reporters write their
stories.
