It would nice if a caver could put together a similar article written for a
caver audience ( as a PDF on
the internet, or better as a wiki-article with links ).   I am 100% certain
there will be a fancy documentary in 2019.

I believe this image shows a pipe that was connected to a electrical pump (
similar to a sewer lift pump ), and that
this pipe was inserted near the first sump of the cave

Thai soldiers are using 4 inch diameter bamboo poles to form a dam on the
creeks, and the dam is reinforced with 100 pound rocks
and sand-bags.    That looks like a good idea, but the dam is only 2 feet
tall, and there is no way of knowing if the dammed
up water would seep underground.    Right ?    ( I have not found a picture
yet, but it is on Thai news channels ).    Imagine being
in the cave when the dam breaks.
