I knew Leroy Vanscoy. Anyone who went to Indiana’s Cave Capers in the 70s knew 
who he was. He was the guy who brought a riding lawnmower pulling a huge 
carbide cannon. When he shot a full can of beer about 500 feet I heard someone 
say, “This has got to stop or else someone’s gonna get killed.”
