Notice how brief the summary of his life is, yet it included
the name of his grotto.
It seems very odd that we feel that we wished we knew somebody
after they passed.
I can only guess that hundreds of cavers once knew John during his
active years of caving.
One of the things I miss about attending the NSS Banquets is
the special toast to friends and cavers that have passed away.
