When Mike lived in Odessa he helped me and a few others get trained to do vertical rope work. I remember his trips into Wizards Well, it was full on go and we never rested but once in 28 hours . He was always a good friend to me and many others, I have some great memories...

So sorry to hear this ☹️ My Jim went caving with Mike on numerous occasions. Seems like strokes are taking more of our community’s old timers away from us in one way or another. Friends, help Cindy out all you can. She will need the support. Quite honestly, depending on the type and severity of the stroke, Mike could come back all the way, part of the way, or none of the way. We will be sending healing thoughts and prayers their way!

Thanks for letting us know Bill.

Mike was a neighbor out here in Real and Edwards County. He lived on the other side of the Nueches. Mike was a fun fellow. He kept building his own caves on his property.
