which is a (closed-source) TeX editor with a built-in version of TeX converted to C++. An interesting technical solution. From outside it looks like a standard TeX editor (double window, etc...) but it can update the view of the document faster. It also offers an iOS version, which could give us some ideas on how to port TeXmacs to tablets (especially for the keyboard interaction part).
