For those of us receiving the Textmate-Dev in digest form, the current
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"
header in the digest means that it’s necessary manually to switch the
encoding form back to UTF-8, since the mail program (Thunderbird in
this case) is matching us-ascii to ISO-8859-1 (Latin-1), of which ASCII
is the initial subset. This is true even though the content-type header
in each of the messages in the digest says
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8
It looks like the software which is putting together the digest from the
individual messages needs a tweak. Thanks.
