Removed the rule that was added to disallow a newline ending a dollar sign illegally. What is illegal is the presence of two consecutive newlines (indicating a paragraph break inside a math mode, which it seems is not allowed). However, I could not find an effective way to match two consecutive newlines (the "match" argument does not currently permit multiline matches).
