*அனந்தபுரம் புக்கேனோ ஆளவந்தாரைப் போலே* வைணவ ஆசாரியனாகிய ஆளவந்தார், நாதமுனிகளின் பேரனாக, ஈசுவரமுனிக்கு மகனாக வீரநாராயணபுரத்தில் (தற்போதைய காட்டுமன்னார்கோயிலில்), யமுனைத்துறைவன் என்ற இயற்பெயருடன் பிறந்தார். மணக்கால் நம்பிக்குப் பிறகு ஆசாரிய பட்டம் பெற்றவர் ஆளவந்தார். தமக்குப் பிறகு வைஷ்ணவத்தைக் காக்க இராமானுஜரே சரியானவர் எனத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தவர் இவரே. அரையர் சேவை என்பது திருவரங்கத்திற்கே உரிய ஒரு நாட்டிய நிகழ்ச்சியாகும். அந்த நிகழ்ச்சியில் நடனக் கலைஞர்கள் ஆழ்வார் பாசுரங்களுக்கு இனிய இசையமைத்து, அபிநயம் பிடித்துக் காட்டுவார்கள். ஸ்ரீ ரங்கத்தில் மடம் ஒன்று அமைத்து, அரங்கனுக்குச் சேவை செய்து கொண்டிருந்த ஆளவந்தார், முன் வரிசையில் அமர்ந்து, அரையர் சேவையைக் கண்டு, கேட்டு, பெருமாள் பெருமையில் மூழ்கித் திளைப்பார். ஒரு நாள், அரையர் சேவையில் முதல் வரிசையில் அமர்ந்திருந்த ஆளவந்தாரைக் கண்டு, திருவாய்மொழியில் வரும் "ஆனந்த நகரம் புகுதும் இன்றே' என்ற பகுதியை மூன்று முறை, பாடி நடித்தனர். அதைக் கேட்ட ஆளவந்தார், அரங்கன், தன்னை அரையர் வாய்மொழி மூலம் அனந்தபுரம் செல்ல அறிவுறுத்துவதாக உணர்ந்தார். உடனே, நம்பெருமாளின் அனுமதியைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டு, தனது மடத்தின் பொறுப்புகளைத் தனது சீடரான தெய்வாரியாண்டானிடம் ஒப்படைத்து விட்டு, அனந்தபுரம், என்ற திருவனந்தபுரத்திற்கு சென்று பத்மனாபசுவாமியைத் தரிசித்து, பெருமாள் சேவையில் சில நாட்கள் ஈடுபட்டார். திருக்கோளூர் அம்மாள், “ஆளவந்தாரைப் போல் நம்பெருமாளின் குறிப்பறிந்தேனா?”, என்று வினவுகிறார். *========********========*********========********======== ******** *ananthapuram pukkEnO ALavandhAraip pOlE* Yamunacharya or Alavandar was a Vishistadvaita philosopher in Srirangam. Alavandar, the grandson of Nathamunigal, was the leader of Srivaishnavas at Srirangam and was living in his mutt in Srirangam after having taken sanyashrama dharma. While doing service to the Lord, one day while he was at the temple, Thiruvaranga Perumal Araiyar was reciting Nammazhvar's Thiruvaymozhi with both music and abhinaya (dramatic action). As he sang "kedum idarAyavellAm" (Thiruvaymozhi 10-2), the phrase "ezhil aNi ananthapuram ... nadaminO namaragaL uLLIr" was sung by Araiyar Swami, looking at Alavandar's face and he also repeated "nadaminO" three times. Understanding the Lord's command through Araiyar, Alavandar, after seeking the permission of Namperumal, left for Thiruvananthapuram, to serve for the Lord there. He asked one of his disciples, Dheyvariyandan, to take care of his mutt until his return to Sri Rangam.
