Q4         If Mahalakshmi andBhudevi are wives of Lord Vishnu and if Sita was
incarnation of Mahalakshmi, then how come Bhudevi became mother of Sita?

A4          Bhanu Kiran December 26-2020Ramayana (Hindu epic) · Admires the
stories of Ramayana

Sita was not born from womb ofBhudevi. Bhudevi didn't actually give birth to
Sita. Sita is considered asdaughter of Bhudevi because she was found
underground by King Janak.

So Bhudevi is the mother of Sita in the same way as the Air God Vayu isthe
father of Hanuman. Air God didn't gave birth to Hanuman but he just putansha of
Shiva in Anjana. Hence Air god is also known as the father of Hanuman.

Similarly Bhudevi is the mother of Sita even though she didn't give birthto
her. Here are thequotes from Valmiki Ramayana on how King Janaka found a baby
girl under theearth and named her Sita.

Later, when I was ploughing the ritual field then raised by the plough[from the
furrow is a baby girl... since she is] gained while consecrating
theritual-field, she is named as Seetha, and thus she is renowned...

Hers is a non-uterine birth as she surfaced from the surface of theearth, but
fostered as my own soul-born girl and I determined [to give her inmarriage to a
bridegroom where his] boldness is the only bounty, [I receive inthat
marriage...]

Oh, eminent sage, as my daughter has surfaced from the surface of earthand has
come of age, the kings, [having heard my declaration that the bountyfor Seetha
is boldness alone,] have come and besought for her..[1]

Q5         Whatare some misconceptions about Lord Hanuman?

A5          SunithaParapatla March 8, 2020 Devotee of God Shiva and a Home maker

Thecommon misconceptions about Lord Hanuman are ::

LordHanuman has a monkey face, but the truth is He is Vanara ( nara (people)
who live inVana ( forests), so you can conclude that Lord Hanuman was atribe or
Kimpurusha, having few features of animal too. And Hanuman in sanskrit means a
man with disfigured jaw.

Femalesshould not worship Lord Hanuman or even touch His idol, since He is
Brahmachari, acelibate. But the truthis, all women can worship Him as he treats
them as his mother, in the same wayhow he treated Sita devi as mother.

Lord Ramaleft to vaikunta after his avatar purpose was fulfilled and few say
Hanuman tooleft, but the truth is Lord Hanuman didn't accompany him, instead
chose tostay back here on Earth.

He is still present on this Earth, doingmeditation by chanting Rama’s name.
That is the reason, even today whenever Ramayana is recited in any place,a seat
is kept empty in the Audience for Lord Hanuman.

Lord Hanuman is not a mythical character, Heis the most important Lord in
Ramayana, who was born only to do service to SriRama.

There is mention of Hanuman as God Shiva'sAnsh ( form / child / possessing few
qualities) in Skanda Purana and theBhavishya Purana.

Q6         Isthe Shiva Lingam at Somnath Temple the original Lingam?

A5          SunithaParapatla Feb 17 , 2018 Devotee of God Shiva and a Home maker

Yes, the Shiva lingam at Somnath temple is theoriginal one.

According to locals of Somnath, when the invaders came todestroy the Shivlinga,
the linga was believed to be safely hid within itshollowness, the famous
Syamanthaka_mani. The stone associated with Lord Krishna. The stonecreated a
magnetic field around itself, that kept the Somnath Shivlingafloating above
ground.

So no onewas able to touch the Linga, as it was hanging in the air and was
thusuntouched by anyone.

The Somnath Jyothirlinga is the first of the12 Jyothirlinga Shrines of Shiva.
It is located on the western coast ofGujarat.

There is amention of the Somanath temple in Sreemad Bhagavadgita, Skanda
Purana, ShivaPurana and even in Rig Veda.

The meaning of ‘Soma “ is Moon, and Nathmeans Lord, so Somanath is the
protector of the Moon and is Shiva.

Prajapathi Daksha, married his 27 daughtersto Moon, but Moon loved only Rohini
and neglected his other 26 wives (sistersof Rohini). The neglected sisters
complain to their father Daksha about Moon.Daksha fumes and curses Moon to fade
or wane away. To overcome the curse and its effects, Moon installeda Shivling
at the Prabhas Teerth (holy place) and prays to Shiva forforgiveness, and Shiva
partially removes the curse by giving him a permanentplace on His forehead.
Thus Shiva became Chandrashekhara / Chandramouli.

Architecture of Somanath temple :: It wasconstructed in the Chalukya style of
architecture. An arrow pillar mentionsthat, the temple is located at such a
position, that it is the first point ofland in the north to the South pole, at
that particular longitude.

Theinvasion on the Somanath temple :: The temple has withstood several
destructions in thepast and still has not lost its beauty. The temple was
looted and destroyed asmany as 17 times by Emperors like Mohammed Ghazni,
Alauddin Khilji andAurangazeb. But the lingaremain undestroyed.

They looted all the idols of gold and silverand countless vessels set with
jewels, but couldn't touch the Linga.

SardarVallabhai Patel was the force behind the revival and reconstruction of
thepresent day Somanath temple (Though it was inaugurated in 1951, after his
death),which still serves as a notable edifice of the original Somanath Temple

Q7         Isthere any meaning behind the color codes of toothpaste (green,
blue, red andblack)?

A7          DeepakKumar Updated July 31, 2020 Lives in India

Readthis carefully. The internet is full of lies and rumors on this subject and
Ido not want you to get caught in these rumors.

You often see strips of different colors atthe bottom of toothpaste tube. sorts
of-

For a long time there has been a rumor on theinternet that the colors onthe end
of the toothpaste tube mean-

Blue means drug-containing toothpaste.

Green means completely natural.

Red means a mixture of natural and chemical.

Black means purely chemical.

This is utterly wrong and false. Often people startreading this to check their
toothpaste and get unnecessarily worried. Do notpay attention to these things.

First of all, everything is a chemical. Allnatural things are also a type of
chemical. So there is no question of chemicalor without chemical.

But what is the meaning of these colors?

This color is meaningless to us humans. These colors indicate the
'lightsensors' installed in tube making machines as to what type and size of
tubes tomake. Only sensors can understand this, not us humans.

I hope you have understood the true meaningof these colors and will not believe
the rumors.

Q8         Whatare some of the interesting facts about India?

A8          AnnieRichards April 17, 2020 Former Works at Something Great
Marketing

About 19kms away from the town of Chitrakoot (M.P.), there exists the 'Gupt
Godavari'caves.

I've been there 3 years back and believe me,the place depicts mythological
stories from its every nook and corner.

As the name suggests, the river Godavari flows in this cave with a
verysecretive passage. When you enter, the water will be up to 2inches and as
you advance, the level of water rises up to 4 feet.

The amazing albeit shocking reality for thiscave usually while you achieve the
termination of this cave, youobserve that the lake flows to another cave and
disappears.

Edit:many thanks @Roshan Raj Singh for discovering this info explaining the
realreason for existence of Gupt Godavari.

There clearly was tale in Ramayana which saysthat while Lord Rama was spending
his exile with his wife Sita and brotherLakshman in Panchavati (modern day
Nashik, Mahrashtra), which was on the northern banks of river Godavari,he had
developed an immense appreciation for the river but then he heard thenews of
demise of his father Dashratha. Now, since he was the eldest sonhe was suppose
to carry out the cremation (Mukhagani), so he travelled north toperform the
ritual. However, since he was in exile he could not travel all theway up to
Ayodhya and stoppedupon reaching the place which is present day Chitrakoot. To
facilitatethis ritual his other brother Bharat made arrangements and brought
the body oftheir father where Lord Rama was waiting. For people who are not
aware withthis Hindu ritual, before cremation the ground around the body is
supposed tobe made wet with water by taking a broken pitcher filled with water
and walkingin a circumference around the body.

Rama was adamant on using the water of riverGodavari, which he had grown so
fond of. Thus, he meditated and asked the sacred river to come tothat place so
he could carry on with the ceremony. The river obligedby appearing there
through a secret passage below the earth and thorough therocks. That same place
came to be known as Gupt Godavari.

Q9         Whydid the Maya abandon the ancient city of Tikal?

A9          DanKennedy Smith 3-2-2021 Updated Writer at Quora (product)
(2020–present)

They accidentally poisoned themselves.Untilnow scientists thought the most
likely reason was a long-lasting dry season butnewly discovered evidence seems
to point to something else entirely.

Scientists have analyzed samples from thebottom of reservoirs that the Mayans
used as water sources.

What they found there was an unusually highamount of mercury, which can be
quite deadly.

When the Mayans were “decorating” their citythey painted most of their
buildings using a type of paint containing mercury.

Later, the paint started flowing off with therain and into the reservoirs. This
caused many Mayans to die until eventuallythe city had to be evacuated.

Source andfurther information

Ancient Maya reservoirs contained toxicpollution: Mercury, algae made water
undrinkable in heart of city

Q10       Canyou tell about Parijatam.?

A10        Parijatam:—it is considered to be theflower used in puja for the
Gods. The word ‘parijata’ literally meansCelestial. Fallen from heaven.

While flowers like jasmine, and others areplucked in the daylight to offer them
at the altar, the flowers ofparijata are the only one picked from the ground
and considered as sacred asany other flowers.

They have attained the special status ofbeing God’s favourite flowers. The
flowers of parijat bloom in night. Bysunrise they fall on ground.

According to epics parijat flowers wereproduced as a result of samundra manthan.

‘Paarinaha Samudrath jaatho va parijatah’

Parijat, which was born out of the sea aftermuch searching.

The Gods were smitten by the beauty of theseethereal flowers and Krishna fought
with lord Indra to win over them. While theparijat has provoking fragrance and
unparalleled beauty that Gods fought overto lay a claim on it.Strangely it
doesn't bear any fruits!

My note- Ihave parijatham in my garden, they bear fruits. But the nuts do not
produceseedling. I have tried, But how the nursery man gave a seedling? It
isconfusing me now.

As to why parijat bloom in the night, mygrandmother told me a beautiful love
story.

According to this tale, the princess Parijatafell in love with Surya ( sun) at
night time, Sun warns her not to take anyhasty decision. She should see him in
day time once before concluding anything.Parijat refuses and says she is not
the one to change her mind falling forphysical beauty. His face. Sunsmiles and
says you can't withstand my ‘power, energy , tejas and heat'.

She says ‘I know how to adjust myself for myloving husband. Forces him to marry
her. He marries her in the night itself.

While they chat it becomes morning. Sunshines with all his power and energy.
Parijat closes her eyes. All her bodywithers because of sun's heat. Sun feels
pity on her but helpless. He prays Godto help them.

ThenGod says if you truly love her you would definitely find a way. Think.

Then sun remembers, she was alright when theymet at previous night and married
each other.

So says ' my dear! I can't see you in painlike this, I would come to visit you
only at night time, when all my energies, light, power, and all won't harm you.
She is delighted hearing those words. Herface blossoms like a white precious
flower.

Every night he visits her, his each kiss becomes a flowerand falls down.
That'swhy stalk of the power in orange colour represents sun and white flower a
shyparijat's face.’

I know this is a fictional story. Biologysays different reasons. But, I don't
prefer biology in this!! Haha. I heardthis story in my late teens.

Anotherstory is for god's devotees.

Maha Vishnu is considered as earth's lord.‘Pridhvi pati' . Parijat herself
wants to worship him directly. So it falls and touch lordvishnu directly
without being touched by anyone.

Apart from all these stories, their fragrancemesmerises me like anything. I
pluck few and keep on my side table of bed in aglass bowl at nights.

In special days for puja I collect themdirectly like this.
