Q2         How is oxygen produced in industrial plants and labs?

A2          Simran Panchal , Student (2018-present)Answered May 24

The most common commercial method for producing oxygen is the separation of air
using either acryogenic distillation process or a vacuum swing adsorption
process.

Nitrogen and argon are also produced by separating them from air.

This method is called electrolysis and produces very pure hydrogen andoxygen.

To make oxygen in thelaboratory, hydrogen peroxide is poured into a conical
flask containing some manganese(IV) oxide. The gas produced iscollected in an
upside-down gas jar filled with water. As the oxygen collects in thetop of the
gas jar, it pushes the water out.

Q3         What is your opinion about Karna vs Arjun Facebook which issaying
Karna was stronger than Balaram and Karna defeated Krishna in Digvijay?

A3          Soorya S A Lives inBengaluru, Karnataka, India17m ago

A person who ran away from the Gandharvas, Abhimanyu and Arjuna to savehis
precious skin can never reach the league of Balarama or Krishna. Balaramafought
and defeated the Shiva ganas, and many warriors from Mahadev's sideduring the
Banasura battle. Balarama will squish Karna like a bug.

Q4         Is it true or not that saying that the cause of your mentaldisorder
is a chemical imbalance created by an abuse of medication is bad forsome
reasons?

A4          Alicia Hutton Lives inTucson, AZ31m ago

In a sense, yes. Becausein most cases the chemical imbalance that causes lot of
mental disorders issomething that happens in the brain.

What ever the reasons it's a situation that the person has no controlover. And
in a lot ofcases the person is not even aware that they are not behaving
differently.

What is very common is for most who try to ( for lack of a better word)avoid
getting help or addressing their mental problems. They self medicate.Because as
time passes and life throws all its twists and turns. Your braineven though
it's damaged still try's to do its job. And protect you from harm.So in a way
you know something is wrong and you got to do something to fix it. Hence,
medication that might not beyours or whatever. As well as alcohol and/or street
drugs come into play. This is common knowledge that a lot of people are aware
of. And it's animmediate go to when someone says that their mental health
issues are frommedication.

I say all of this to say that its is better to say thatyour having mental
health issues because of side effects from your medication. Which is possible.
Because unfortunately there areso many stigmas associated with mental health
issues, that a good number ofpeople think the negative not the positive. I'm
not a medical professional.Just someone who has had mental health issues since
childhood and this is mypersonal experience. I hope this helps.

My note- I saw a film- Train in11th floor in Malayalam two days back. Some
mental disorders can be through genes –The Malayalam film was advocating. It may
appear suddenly by about 30 years

Q5         Is the Indus Valley civilisation Aryan or Dravidian?

A5          Aravind VarierApril 19Teacher(2011–present)

Indus valley civilization has manysimiliarties with Dravidian culture.

The recent example of this is clearly visible from the recent Keezhadi
excavation inTamil Nadu

Reference Picture : Similarities between the signs found in Keezhadi inTamil
Nadu and Indus valley civilization, Image Courtesy, Twitter

I will write down my hypothesis on the chain of events that could hadtaken
place some 3000 years back in the Indian subcontinent

1) Dravidian language and culture was flourishing throughout the
Indiansubcontinent some 5000 years ago

2) Aryans from Central Asia invaded the Indus valley civilization some3000
years back.

3) The Dravidians living in the Indus valley civilization would had fledto
Southern part of the Indian subcontinent.

4) Aryans couldn't move further south of Narmada river because theDravidians in
the South would had resisted the invasion and even fought abattle to restrict
their advancements.

5) As a result the Indo Aryan Languages couldn't move further beyond theNarmada
river.

The Map clearly shows, Brahui language is a Dravidian language which isstill
spoken in the area where Indus valley civilization existed.

More archeological excavations in Tamil Nadu in future will help us knowthe
scientific advancement of the Dravidian civilization and the manner inwhich
they prevented the Aryans from invading the southern part of India.

Q6         Why is Lord Vishnu a supreme God though poison took byShiva?

A6          Rakshith Raman. 15h ago

Yes Lord Vishnu is supreme God in terms of personal manifestations. Buthe's not
superior to Shiva as shruthis ‘Vedas’ contradict it.

Rigveda clearly says Vishnu isinferior to Shiva.

Greater than the great is Brahma, still greater than Brahma is Vishnu, beyond
Vishnu is Shiva. May my hear be filled with Shiva.

Q7         If you picked a scab over and over again each time itformed, how
would a cut ever heal? Would you have this wound forever or wouldit heal
eventually regardless if you kept ripping off the scab?

A7          Dr.a. SoodB.H.M.Shomeopathy doctor from Rhmcr (Graduated 2008)1m ago

scab is a protective tissue covering that forms after your skin has beendamaged.

When you scrape your knee or skin, a blood clot forms and eventuallyhardens
into a protective crust.

It will heal and shed off. …it also depends on how deep is wound and other
condition likediabetes.. Etc

My note- Due to itching many tryto pick the scab

Q8         Can a hospital legally keep you from leaving?

A8          Vasu Pandian FormerRetired Government Employees at Government
(executive dept.) (1982–2019)5m ago

Can I be kept in the hospital against my will? No. The hospital can beliable
for "falseimprisonment" if hospital officials attempt to prevent you
fromleaving. You shoulddiscuss your condition and reasons for wanting to leave
with your physician beforeleaving.source :- biotech.law isu.edu

However, you may be kept in a hospital for up to three working days ifthe
doctors consider you to be a “mentally disordered person”. If you areconsidered
to be a “mentally ill person”, you may be kept in a hospital until amental
health inquiry is held by the Mental Health Review Tribunal.Source:-Legal
aid.nsw.gov

My note- Hospital many timesgives medical history with the line- Patient leaves
the hospital at own’s risk if we discusswith doctor and leave.

Q10       As a doctor, what is the most ridiculous mistake you have seena
patient make?

A10        Amatullah Merchant Intern(MBBS), Mumbai.Sat

“Madam, Mujhe kuch dikhta hi nahihai.”(Madam, I'm unable to see anything).

In came a patient in Ophthalmology OPD, of around 60 years old, with astooped
posture and with some papers in his hand.

On asking for his complaints, he happened to reveal that he is unable tosee
things properly.

We started suspecting a lot of things that he may be having, the foremostbeing
cataract.

On examination, there was very early onset of opacity in one of his eyes, but
not enough to cause blurriness at such a surmount level.

He insisted he wanted to get any surgery to get his vision back. Onasking if he
uses any spectacles, he replied in negative.

We sent him for getting his vision worked up.

To our surprise, he had a very high number, and on asking why he wasn'twearing
glasses, he nonchalantly said,“Sir dukhta hai, isiliye chashma pehentenahi.”(My
head pains, and so I don't wear spectacles).

We then counselled him that ifhe doesn't wear those glasses, he won't be able
to see properly and because ofthat, he might have a constant head ache.

Our eyes take time to adjust tothe correction of refractory errors, which may
lead to headaches, sometimes even vomiting and dizziness. But once youregularly
wear those, these problems go away.

We also called in for Medicinereference to get his headaches evaluated, just in
case to rule out something else.

Call it ridiculous or not, butevery 3rd patient who comes with a complaint of
unable to see properly is either a cataract patient (more chances if old)
orsomeone with a refractory error who does not wear glasses by choice.

Q11       How does Hinduism tell us to get over our past mistakes whichhave
hurt other people?

A11        Rami Sivan Priest, Dharmateacher, counsellor, Gov. Advisor
(1998–present)Fri

Apply the three “R’s”

Recognise - admit that you havemade a mistake or done thewrong thing - this is
the first step. Without insight into your actions and howthey have affected the
person you have wronged there is no moving forward.

Regret. Having a sincere feelingof sorrow at the pain and harmyou have caused
and empathising with the individual.

Rectify - fix the situation.Apologise as quickly as possibleand without coaxing
and coaching - the longer you wait and the moreencouragement you need, the less
sincere your apology will be. But the apologycomes with the intention never to
repeat the same mistake.

Perform acts of loving kindnessand charity and accept theconsequences of your
act - if the other party refuses to accept your apology -its your Karma.
