A welcome initiative by US Administration.

Looks like that old people like me have to take yearly shots against FLU, PNEUMONIA and CHINESE VIRUS.

Boosters are available for those with compromised immune systems.

MEMORIAL HERMANN

Current eligible individuals, those whose immune system is moderately to severely compromised, are recommended to receive a third dose of the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at least 28 days after their second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.

This includes people receiving active cancer treatment, organ transplant recipients, those with advanced or untreated HIV infection and more.

Individuals are encouraged to talk to their healthcare provider about their medical condition, and whether getting the additional dose or booster shot is appropriate for them.

If you or a loved one is eligible, schedule an appointment at a Memorial Hermann vaccine clinic by completing our online COVID-19 Vaccine Request Form or you may receive your booster shot without an appointment at one of our walk-in clinics, listed here.

Beginning the week of Sept. 20, 2021, the CDC is preparing to offer booster shots for all Americans eight (8) months after an individual's second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.
