Q1             Which Indian state could get divided to form a new statein the
future, and why?

A1              Raghavendra BabuLives in Hospet, Karnataka June 5

As far as my general knowledge, there are mainly two region people arefighting
for separate states

Vidarbha: East portion ofMaharashtra is far away from itscapital : Mumbai ,
almost 1200KM . Vidharba demand is not new. But, theirdemand has no strong
voice. After, telangana movement, vidarbha got new hope.If vidarbha state is
formed, Nagpur will be capital most likely.

Bundelkand : This is also not a new demand. The region of bundelkandconsists of
south UP and North MP. There are nearly 18 million people living inthis area.
If is formed as state , most likely Jhansi or sagar will be thecapital city.

Q2             What "poverty food" is actually reallydelicious?

A2              Soham Lives in India(2005–present)August 12

Vada Pav. The specialty of Mumbai.First it catered to the workers ofGiragaon
mill workers and now everyone.

Vada Pav is very delicious, many people who are working in Mumbai now orhave
worked in Mumbai have for sure many times eaten a Vada Pav in morning
5AM-5:30AM or so at the railway station while waiting for the train and if
youlive in Kalyan ,you cannot escape people who would keep taking you to a
placecalled Khidi Vada.

Vada Pav also has a political past ,Balasaheb Thackeray ,founder ofShivesena
encouraged Marathi youth after mass unemployment due to closing ofmills in
Mumbai to set up Vadapav stalls and food mills and becomeentrepreneurs just
like the South Indians who were setting up Udupirestaurants.

Shivesena promoted Vadapav through fests and events. And it is quite cheapand
very delicious.Vada Pav is love.

Q3             How long can the ISS stay in orbit before eventuallyfalling into
the Earth?

A3              Robert Frost· Worksat NASA19h ago

Always more than seven months. Our flight rules require us to limit theminimum
operational altitude such that, if no reboost maneuvers were performed, would
keep us above 278 km for 180 days.

Once below 278 km, the ISS is no longer at an operational altitude. Atthat
altitude, we cannot replace propellant faster than it is being used.Orbital
decay will be considerably faster but vary dependent on where we are inthe
solar cycle and on the cross-sectional area of the ISS. The generalguideline
used in back of the envelope calculations is that once below 278 km,deorbit
takes about a month.

Q5             Have you ever bought something and then never reallyused it?
What was it and why didn't you use it? Do you regret it?

A5        Ramadevi Gidugu   Former SelfEmployed, Full Time Mother.  Wed

Roti maker! I bought prestige roti maker.

I went through all the you tube videos. Tried a lot. My friends who
useregularly taught me how to use it.

I tried all the tricks. Still,I didn't like the taste of rotis that are made in
it. They should be eaten immediately after made. I canmake rotis faster with
hand than this. Those are many more times better thanthese. Texture wise and
taste wise.

That aroma part is alsomissing in this.

When I make roti or pulka, my children feel hungry by its aroma itself.

Though they didn't comment they didn't like it. They are saggy, hard, thick. I
too didn't like.

May be I am not mastered the art. Moreover the rotis made by me remainsoft for
hours together. These are not. Become hard even after keeping them inhot case.I
regret buying it.

Few of my friends who doesn't have time to make rotis told they areadjusting
with the taste and quality. So far no one told me they taste as goodas hand
made rotis. I regret buying it. I want to know other's experience.

My note- My wife purchasedabout an year back anelectrical coconut scrapper. Not
finding suit to her  speed, after first trial  she complimented to daughter in
law. Shebrought it back telling it was slow for her speed. Along with wet
grinder wegot another coconut scrapper. Reasons not known, now my wife tells
the electric coconut scrapperfirst purchased is best. Probably she learnt how
to fix it firmly ongranite platform now!!

Q6             Why do Indian parents want their children to begovernment
servants?

A6              Bhuvana Rameshwar I'm a Parent, aunt, grandparent August 8

In India government jobs areconsidered stable jobs unlike private jobs where
persons are sacked, benched or the company goes insolvent. IT companylayoffs,
HR talking people into resigning and sacking of senior managers aremost
infamous.

But govt jobs are guaranteedjobs with good increments, DA, TA,, medical
benefits, PF, pension etc. Moreoverincase of unfortunate death of a person the
job or a similar one is given to his wife or son /daughter.

Sports persons, other international and national competitors have theadvantage
of taking leave whenever they want, there are provisions in the govt.office law
for that. Of them the best employer is the Indian Railways andIndian army.

A7              Andrew McGregorFlown several types of light aircraft.3h ago

Yes. And every feature in the computers too. There’s something called a“type
rating”, which is the qualification you get at the end of the course
thatteaches you all of that. For the most complex aircraft, it can take months.

Q9             If new oil reserves are being discovered, why is itbelieved that
we are running out of oil?

A9              Steven HaddockStudied at York University (Canada)August 10

New reserves are not beingdiscovered. The last majordiscovery of oil reserves
was in the North Sea over 40 years ago. The fact that petroleumproducing
countries say their reserves haven’t gone down in the last thirtyyears even as
they pump oil is probably fudging the figures.

Most new production is fromfracking - breaking up the rock of old oil fields.
Lots of oil and gas are being released in this way. However, it appearsthat a
new fracked well starts dropping in production after about one year. Fora
traditional new well, you generally don’t see a drop for a decade or moreafter
you drill it.

A lot of reserves require a lotof energy to get the oil out. The Alberta Tar
Sands contain more reserves than the rest of the world combined. However,
itcosts about $40 a barrel to extract heavy crude, where the cost of a
lightcrude well is about $1 a barrel. Other reserves, such as oil shale,
whichcontains more oil than all other forms of oil, are even more expensive
toextract - well over what oil has ever sold for on open markets.

The concept of “running out” ismisstated. Whateconomists talk about is “peak”.
At some point, the amount of oil beingextracted will be less than what was
extracted the previous year, and thistrend will continue. For example, the
United States used to lead the world inthe extraction of anthracite coal, but
it reached peak production There’s stillanthracite out there, but it’s
expensive to extract.

Q10           How does a person come out from big debt or serious healthissues?
Is it through willpower or faith?

A10            PrasannaBhaleraoTechnology geek, Amateur Photographer, History
enthusiastAugust 11

To come out of big debt, it is not just a matter of willpower and faith. Both
aredefinitely necessary. But faith and willpower must be coupled with a very
strong financial fiscaldiscipline.

This means cutting down onexpenses - not just extravagance but also many other
expenses. Since there is a big debt, and debt interest will keep onspiralling
out of control, many necessary expenses may have to be curtailed. Then, with the
savings achieved, there must be a regular repayment plan andexecution. the

Q11           How many units does a 1.5 ton AC consume at 22 degreetemperatures
in 1 hour?

A11            2 AnswersJeet Kumar,B.TECH Civil Engineering & Engineering,
National Institute of Technology,Agartala (2013)Updated September 10, 2018

working of an AC is not simple as a theoretical question as powerconsumption
reduces with reaching the desired cooling temperature of the roomit is cooling,
itdepends on where is the outdoor unit of the AC is placed and whetherthe room
remain sealed for most of the time,so it depends on how much is thesize of the
room, if it is very small, after 20min it will start consuming lesselectricity.

if your desired cooling temperature is 22 degrees and outside temperatureis 26
degrees it won't take much electricity for a long time..

Q12           Why do most Indians who marry their daughter at a youngage even
bother sending her to school when they don't let her continue higherstudies?

A12            BhuvanaRameshwarmarried for three decades August 14

Most parents whose familytradition is to get them married do so due to their
society norms. Most parents would love to see their daughters becomeatleast
graduates if not highly educated. But marriage proposals come quite early in
some societiesso they stop the daughters’ education at say 10th or 12th. The
luckyones finish graduation, but become homemakers. Usually this is seen in
orthodoxfamilies or familiesin poverty, where marriage means one person less in
the girls family.

So why do they send them to school?

What will they do at home, as children to adulthood? Learning cooking? Noway.

Actually this education will useful one day to help the husband inrunning his
business, or taking care of her house in case of some unfortunatehappening to
the spouse. It will be useful for teaching their children. It mayget her job
too.

A little maths, gk, science ,basic exposure is needed for everybody evento go
shopping and for going to the police station in case of some problem. That is
why they educate their daughters, until marriage.

Q14           How can I tell if it’s going to rain today?

A14            Herb Goldschmidt ,retiredAnswered April 7

“How can I tell if it’s going to rain today?” Erm, turn on the TV orradio and
wait for the weather forecast.

2ND ANSWER- JimHoman, BSME Engineering &Mathematics, Washington State
University (1982)Answered April 7

When water starts to fall from the sky you will know.

3RD ANSWER- ChrisBahnsen, studies at State CollegeArea High School
(2024)Answered April 7

Several signs of rain coming are the following:

Under a dark cloud, the hills start to look fuzzy/foggy as rain startsfalling
there because the rain makes it harder to see it. If it gets closer, itwill
likely rain where you are.

A dark cloud is approaching you and the ragged dark base turns into asingle
sheet of gray. The rain obscures the base of the cloud so the
lumpynessvanishes. These are thunderstorms, often squalls and bring much more
than alittle dampening. If the monotonous gray sheet is visible and
approaching, itwill most likely rain in no more than 15 minutes.

Very bright (or silver lining if backlit), crisp clouds that
resemblecauliflower on the top and very dark on the bottom. While they don’t
directlyproduce rain, it tells you that the atmosphere is unstable and may or
may notrain in the future.

A morning without dew means that the air has a lot of moisture, harboringa
favorable atmosphere to later produce rain.

4TH ANSWER DustinBonson , Cat Servant (1979-present)AnsweredApril 7

The weather forecast for your area should be able to very accurately tellyou
what to expect in the next 12 hours.

Forecasts get a bit fuzzier the further out they are, but 12–24 hoursthey can
nail it down pretty well these days.
