Good one! In an ancient poem there is a verse that when young the short
father holds the son atop revealing the word in 360 degrees.
Tirukkural says "Thanthai Magarkku atrum udavi avaiyin
mundiyiruppachcheyal"; Tiruvalluvar uses the word "udavi=help that can be
done by a father, do all to place him in forefront so high in the society.
There is a verse "Foot-print"; it says, when one was complaining that in
the suffering GOD ditched him, that"at that time my son, you saw only a pair
of foot print on the shore of the beach, bercause, you were seated on my
shoulder. Earth is undoubtedly the mother , the great mother , to have been
allowed to grow inside and sprout out, to have shouldered gracefully for a
time; but remember that the strain of mother arises only from the good seed
of the father. Hence in BG Krishna says that TEXT 4
sarva-yonisu kaunteya murtayah sambhavanti yah tasam brahma mahad yonir aham
bija-pradah pita
<https://asitis.com/#8347>
sarva-yonisu—in all species of life; kaunteya—O son of Kunti; murtayah
—forms; sambhavanti—as they appear; yah—which; tasam—all of them; brahma—
supreme; mahat yonih—the source of birth in the material substance; aham—
Myself; bija-pradah—seed-giving; pita—father. It should be understood
that all species of life, O son of Kunti, are made possible by birth in
this material nature, and that I am the seed-giving father. KR IRS 26122
