BEING  A COMPILATIONTHERE MAY  BE ERRORS

Q1         Do we have to be afraid of something inorder to live a normal life?

A1         Prajit Cartofari 1h

Hello, Interestingquestion, but easy.

The more thingsyou’re afraid of, the less risk you will take, and live a
boring, lonely life.(Relatable)

If you’re refferingmore to a fear like, for example, afraid of being chased by
dogs, yeah it wouldbe cool to have one, but not necessary to live a normal
life. At all.

If its a fear like, talking to women (Relatable) you def don’t need that. You
don’t want that. You’re living the most normal life without those fears.

My note- 95% of people have some sort of fear inborn withthem. Some have fobia
also

Q2         How soon can you lie down (not sleep)after eating a heavy meal?

A2         Bhuvana Rameshwar Former Teacher, Aug21

After a meal I sitdown or do some cleaning, washing. Sometimes I watch TV. Only
when I feeldrowsy or start yawning I go bed.

Sometimes we go fora small walk after dinner and then hit the bed. Often if I'm
not feeling sleepyI continue watching TV.

My note- Most may have siesta after the afternoon meal,if at home.

Q3  What is a cowcatcher? Is it useful?

A3         Shivam Kumar Studied MechanicalEngineering at Indian Institute of
Technology, Bombay (IITB) (Graduated2021)19h

Cowcatcher is theextended part of a locomotive engine at its bottom. It is like
a big metallic net. It iseasily visible to a person who looks at the locomotive
from the front side.

It is installed toclear any obstacle that may lie on the railway track so that
it does not comein contact with the wheels and cause jamming or any sort of
disruption to thesmooth movement of the wheels.

Q4         Why doesn't Indian Railway increase thenumber of general coaches
inspite of having so much rush in these?

A4         Subhasis Dutta Roy,Working in IndianRailways at Indian Railways
(2001–present)Updated 2y

The maximum numbersof coaches in a train has a limit. It is 24 coaches maximum.

The first reason tolimit the length of a train is maximum up to 24 coaches to
fit in the looplength.

A train length can't be more than the shortest looplength of that section where
the train runs.

In IndianRailways, maximum loop length is 650 meters. So thelength of a train
either passenger or freight must be within 650 meters.

No train can stayin the block section. The section between two consecutive
stations. If anytrain can't fit into the loop then it will obstruct the
mainline hence thetrain movement of that section will effects.

It is calculated that a maximum numbers of 24 coaches24.75(LHB)*24+
20.562(loco)= 614.322 meters

23.28(ICF)*24+20.562(Loco)=555.282 meters.

Both lengths arefit with a limit of 650 metres.

Thesecond reason is the technical limitations of Locomotive.Train brakes system
functioning through the air pressure. This air pressurecreates through
Locomotive's compressors.

A pressure of 5kg/sqcm distributes throughout the length of the train by metal
BP pipe andcoach to coach connect through BP hoses and palm couplings.

It has been examined practically that up the length of 24coaches BP pressure
maintain adequately within a limit taking account theleakages.

Beyondthat, it is difficult to maintain the BP pressure at an adequate level
byLocomotive's compressors. So train length keeps within 24 coaches.

You can rememberwhen vacuum brakes functioning in trains, the length of the
train was shorterthan parents time.

It is becausevacuum couldn't maintain beyond that limit of length not train by
exhausters ofLocomotive.

Now the mainquestion, why Railways don't increase the general coaches? So far
my knowledgedepends on the train category.

Normally there are2 to 4 general coaches fit in a train depends on route and
train category. There are so many trains runs ondifferent routes with only
general coaches.

As there is noprovision to increase the train length so Railways have to
maintain the rakeformation of the category of trains.

My note- Very clear answer. Where passengertraffic is more, introducing
additional train is the best possibility. InChennai- Bangalore route after the
double decker has been introduced, congestionis reduced very much.

Q5         Why is it unwise for diabetics to eat ameal containing a lot of
sugar?

A5         Ruby Myers 1h

Depending on whattype of diabetes they have, they either can’t produce their
own insulin or theyhave trouble using insulin. Either way, a lot of Sugar is a
problem because it raises the bloodsugar a lot. High blood sugar is bad for
your blood vessels, hard onthe kidneys, and can cause several other health
issues.

For those that arefinding a way to reverse type 2 diabetes without needing more
pills, medications or insulin injections,... you can check this guide

. I have got greatresults with it. Within a month of following that guide, I
managed to reduce mydoses of drugs between 50 and 80%. My blood sugar levels
used to be high 200's and 300's.Now they are in the low 100's and below 100. As
a bonus I have lost 19lbs

My note- After reducing sugar, even normal sugaradded in coffee or tea may fell
more  fora diabetic.

Q6         Why can't we use human waste forfertilizer and compost?

A6         Frederick Wright, Lives in Boston, MA(1996–present)Tue

We do. Here in Boston we haveconstructed a massive water treatment plant that
takes waste from the city andthirty four surrounding communities, uses an
advanced codigester system torender the waste safe, extractthe gray water to be
cycled into the ocean safely, then purify and dry thesolid waste left over to
be sold to area farms as high grade fertilizer. As a bonus, the entire plant is
built on a beautiful harbor island which servesas a public park with miles of
hiking trails and views of Boston's lovelyharbor and skyline.

Q7         Is that true Napoleon’s heart beats 42times per minute?

A7         Tiny Nair, Cardiologist at PRSHospital, Trivandrum Updated 5y

5 and a half feetin height, unimpressive, never credited with good looks;
Napoleon Bonaparte was myschool-age hero because my profile matched so well
with his.

He was a shrewd commander,a political wizard and a strategist who fought and
won war after war, extendinghis rein over two-thirds of the land-mass of
Europe. The very fact that he wonso many wars – ‘Austerlitz war’ against
Austria, ‘War of Jena’ against Prussia,‘Battle of Borodino’ against Russia,
shows that he had sharper knowledge ofstrategies better than even Hideo Kojima
(designer of Metal Gear Solid).

On the flip side,he would not think twice before ditching his troops if the
situation demanded. Also he was never known for his benevolence, charm or
physical fitness. Look athis photo.

He must have been a fairly fit man to start with, sincehe led so many wars and
was on horseback for hours on.People with such athletic disposition have slow
heart rate, many world-classprofessional athletes have a heart rate of around
45. So it is possible butunlikely – here’s why.

He indeed was a fearless warrior, but diseasedoesn’t distinguish between a
timid or a go-getter; especially the pain ofhemmorhoids (piles in common
language). Yes; Piles.

>From Napoleon’s personal doctors account and the finalautopsy after his death
>on 5 th july 1821, it is now confirmed that he wassuffering from many diseases
>including rectal piles, hypopituitarism, chronic tuberculosis of left lung and
>schistosomiasis but finally died ofgastric cancer.(at the island of St Helena)

It is said that the pain of piles prevented him fromtaking the seat on the
saddle on the right timeleading to postponement of the time of strike in the
decisive ‘Waterloobattle’, the one that changed his fate and the direction of
European history.

It isvery unlikely that the ailing, unhappy, leader with a pain in the bum
wouldhave had a slow heart rate, unless of course he hadundetected
Hypothyroidism.

Edit — ThanksDinesh Manohar for suggesting that hypopituitarism might have led
tohypothyroidism.

Q8         Why is too much water being dischargedby an air conditioner?

A8         Tim Hinds. 25 years in the Heating andAirconditioning Industry.
Updated 4y

No suchthing. It simply means it is very humid. The A/C is working hard to
remove itand cool at the same time. Cooling suffers in this condition becauseit
is being discharged through the condensate instead of the air. Thats inlayman’s
terms. The actual thermodynamics involves heat removal not coldproduction. But
most people think in terms of turning up the air conditioningwhen actually they
are turning down the temperature

Q9         What is the significance behind “KashiYatra” in Tamil marriages?

A9         Balaji Viswanathan, observes the TNpolitics.Mon

Not sure if allTamil communities have this ritual, but the Kashi Yatra is one
of theinteresting events in TamBrahm and other Smarta weddings. Quite possibly
thiscould be in many other communities too across India.

Our weddings arefilled with dozens of interesting games like these that makes
it memorable.

Before any majorevent in life it is normal to have jitters and doubts. Are we
committing tooearly? What will change in my life after this? Should I run away?

Kashi yatra ceremony mockingly exaggerates these emotionsand make it into a
spectacle for everyone. In thiscase, the groom packs his “bags” to become a
sanyasi in Varanasi. He carries acouple of essentials — including an umbrella,
some rice & coconut and aspare dhoti. The bride’s father then intercepts him
and convinces him to goahead with the wedding.

Somegroom trying to run away from making a commitment.

In my case, I literally took the ceremony, by actuallygoing to Kashi before the
wedding as a wandering ascetic.I travelled weeks across the country clothed in
saffron pyjama to variousspiritual centers across India taking me to famous
landmarks of Buddha, Krishnaand Gandhi.

As the beard and beads grew post that, people actuallystarted confusing me with
an ascetic — a lot ofinteresting episodes in that across in Somanth, Ayodhya,
Gorakhnath etc.

This time my fatherin law didn’t convince me but I myself decided that I was
not ready to be anascetic and turned to the Grihasta fold. ;-)

Q10              How much money do you spend onyour parents?

A10       Ajay Reddy ,Software Engineer and Fitnessfreak Aug 22

My father had nopension or even any savings when he stopped working, but he
never ever asked me a single pennybecause he was relucant and also a self
respect person. My parentslived along with me in my job location so there was
almost no additional expensesfor them.

But after my fatherpassed away, my mother some times stayed at village and
mostly stayed with me. But this time I started to giveher a a fixed amount
every month so that she could spend what ever she wantsand which she may not
wish me to know.

At home everythingis available so almost she didn’t spend a fraction of that
money but shebecomes very happy when I give her. Later I learned that, those
savings directly goes to herdaughters (my sisters as well their kids).

There is nothingwrong or right, I am not bothering about what she does with
that money, but herhappiness while receicving money is matters to me which I
never wanted to miss. So, instead of monthly, each time I withdraw money from
ATM/Bank, a fixedpercentage of additionl money I withdraw and give her (mostly
2–3 times amonth).

This is a chance Inever want to miss happiness from her face.

My note- My father was a pensioner and he gavethe entire pension to my elder
brother at home. When he was with me pension wasnot drawn. I sent immediately
on getting salary a good amount to my father. Ithelped him to get his medicines
etc.
