Mr Rajaram,
First of all I have no Gurus. I respected and continue to respect Mr
Narayanaswamy from 2005 for the last 18 years. He mostly appreciate, but some
times criticize also my postings.
Mr Narayanaswamy took efforts to take me out of your (yourself and few others)
trap to get me out of the yahoo and later google groups and opposed your
criticizing about my postings. Two times he helped. Third time your trap
became a failure.

Q1 Whyis South India more techy than North India?
A1 Info Sage, Professional MavenJun 7
Introduction:
The question of why South Indiais more tech-oriented than North India can be
attributed to various factors related to development, education, and economic
opportunities. Over the years, the southernstates of India, such as Tamil Nadu,
Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, andTelangana, have consistently
outperformedthe rest of the country in these areas. This article will delve
into thereasons behind this phenomenon and shed light on the indicators of
prosperitythat have contributed to the South's success.
1. Historical Context:
At the time of India'sindependence in 1947, the southern states were not
leading in terms ofdevelopment or economic prosperity. However, from the 1980s
onwards, the southern states began to divergepositively compared to the rest of
India, and this trend has continuedto accelerate. The reasons behind this
divergence lie in the innovativepolicies implemented by individual states.
2. Innovative Policies:
Each southern state has its ownunique story of progress, driven by innovative
policies. For instance, themid-day meal scheme, which provides free lunches to
students in governmentschools, was initiated in Tamil Nadu and has led to a
significant increase inschool admissions. Keralahas attributed its advances in
health and education to political mobilizationand its syncretic culture.
Additionally, the strong regional identityand subnationalism prevalent in these
states have also played a role in theirsuccess.
3. Indicators of Prosperity:
The indicators of prosperity inthe southern states of India are evident across
various sectors. Theseindicators include:
a. Health: Southern India boasts lower infantmortality rates and higher
vaccination rates, contributing to better overallhealth outcomes. Access to
healthcare facilities is also more readilyavailable, ensuring better medical
care and longer life expectancy.
b. Education: Southern states have prioritizededucation and have achieved
higher school enrollment rates. Students stay inschool longer and are more
likely to pursue higher education, includingcollege. The focus on education has
resulted in a more skilled and educatedworkforce.
c. Economic Opportunities: Southern states haveexperienced a shift away from
traditional agricultural practices, with a higheremphasis on diverse sectors
such as technology, services, and manufacturing. This shift has led to
higher-paying jobs and greater economic opportunities forthe population.
d. Social Impact: The progress in health, education, andeconomic well-being has
contributed to increased political representation andinfluence. Citizens of the
southern states are more likely to have a say inelections, leading to a more
participatory democracy.
4. Population Dynamics:
Despite the remarkable progress, the southern states face a unique challenge
related to population dynamics. They have experienced lower population growth
compared to their northerncounterparts. As a result, their per-capita tax
contributions are higher, butthey receive a relatively smaller share in central
tax transfers, which arepopulation-dependent. This disparity is seen as a
consequence of their successand has been exacerbated by recent tax reforms.
Conclusion:
The tech advancements and overallprosperity of South India compared to North
India can be attributed to acombination of factors such as innovative policies,
focus on education, improved healthcare, economic diversification, and social
impact. The southernstates' success has transformed them into models of
development and showcasesthe potential for progress in other regions. However,
it is crucial to addressthe challenges arising from population dynamics and
ensure equitabledistribution of resources to maintain the positive trajectory
of the southernstates' growth.
Q2 What do the people of Chennai currently need?
A2 T.M. Gautham, Left Handed & Right MindedTue
A clean Cooum where crocodiles can swim freely!
A clean Adyar with mangroves in the estuaries!
Buckingham Canal that is not a drainage!
Pallikaranai Marshland that is not a garbage-dump of the whole city!
These are not what people of Chennaineeds. These are what the city of Chennai
needs!
Until some political party doesat least one of these, they should not claim
that they did any achievements.Achievements are something that cannot be done
easily. It irritates me whenparties literally claim every single action of them
as achievement or amasterstroke.
Most important- Pallikkaranai Marsh landrequires fencing on all sides. The
boardit is a marsh land is only in one side. Especially in the bus stop fencing
isabsolutely required.

Q5 What is the difference between the people of Bangalore andChennai?
A5 Vaani Shree, Former And Currently Own Business Jul 24
Bangalore people enjoy a better climate and live in a morecosmopolitan city,
but anightmare for car drivers.
Chennai is more orthodox, more safer, cheaper in home rentals, better for car
drivers. The weather can zap you and your shirt/ banian can get totallydrenched
in sweat, if your body isn't used to such a climate. The eveningstroll along
the beach is a bonus, though.
