Walking certainly contributes to overall health and well-being, but its
relevance can depend on various factors. It's generally considered a
low-impact exercise that offers numerous health benefits:

   1.

Cardiovascular Health: Regular walking can improve heart health by
increasing heart rate and circulation, reducing the risk of heart disease
   and stroke.
   2.

Weight Management: It can aid in weight loss or weight maintenance by
   burning calories and boosting metabolism.
   3.

Mental Health: Walking has been linked to reduced stress, anxiety, and
depression. It can also improve mood and cognitive function.
   4.

Joint Health: It's a low-impact exercise that's gentle on the joints,
potentially reducing the risk of arthritis and improving mobility.
   5.

Improved Fitness: While walking alone may not drastically improve
fitness levels, consistent brisk walking can increase endurance and stamina
   over time.

However, the absolute relevance of walking for health can vary based on
individual circumstances:

   -

Intensity and Duration: The health benefits depend on the intensity and
duration of walking. Brisk walking tends to yield more benefits than casual
   strolls.
   -

Overall Lifestyle: Walking as a sole form of exercise might not be
sufficient for everyone. A balanced approach that includes strength
training, flexibility exercises, and other activities can offer a more
   comprehensive fitness regimen.
   -

Individual Health Conditions: For some individuals, walking might not be
suitable due to specific health conditions or injuries. In such cases,
alternative forms of exercise might be more appropriate.

Ultimately, while walking can be incredibly beneficial for health, its
absolute relevance may differ depending on factors like individual fitness
goals, overall lifestyle, and health condition. It often serves as an
excellent foundation for a healthy lifestyle when combined with other forms
of exercise and a balanced diet.

However the code of ethics prescribed as 10000 steps, a time frame, brisk
walk etc are not only useless but also baseless. Walking engages various
systems and parts of the body, leading to a range of physiological changes
and benefits:

   1.

Muscles: Walking involves many muscles, primarily the lower body muscles
like the quadriceps, hamstrings, calves, and glutes. These muscles contract
and relax in a coordinated manner to propel you forward.
   2.

Cardiovascular System: The heart rate increases during walking to supply
more oxygen-rich blood to working muscles. This boosts cardiovascular
health, improving heart function and circulation.
   3.

Lungs and Breathing: Walking increases breathing rate, allowing the
lungs to take in more oxygen and expel carbon dioxide. It helps improve
   lung capacity and efficiency.
   4.

Joints and Bones: Walking is a weight-bearing activity that strengthens
bones and joints. It can help improve bone density and reduce the risk of
   osteoporosis.
   5.

Digestive System: Physical movement, including walking, can aid in
digestion by promoting intestinal contractions and reducing constipation.
   6.

Brain Activity: Physical activity like walking stimulates the release of
endorphins and neurotransmitters like serotonin, boosting mood and reducing
   stress.
   7.

Posture and Balance: Regular walking can help improve posture and
balance by strengthening core muscles and stabilizing the body.
   8.

Metabolism: Walking can increase metabolic rate temporarily, aiding in
   calorie burning and weight management.

Overall, walking is a holistic exercise that engages multiple systems
within the body, promoting better health and well-being over time

So walk slow or fast or even keep displacing periodically, according to
your ability; There are people jogging 2 miles non stop; can others do it
without stopping for 2 miles? And when you do exercise, you have to balance
calories. If gluten and without exercise it increases the fat; if exercise
hard and don't eat properly the body gets emaciated , giving room for
diseases. Now one has a lot of gadgets; so self realisation is not only
Mukti but also understanding one's system. Never refrain from nor
overstretch. KR IRS 251123
