KRISHNA THEJA IAS- DISTRICTCOLLECTOR OF TRICHUR. Dear friends,
Yesterdayafternoon I was skipping through you-tube to get siesta. I came across the speech of Mr. Krishna ThejaIAS, District collector of IAS in fluent Malayalam to an audience recently. He is native of Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. He is wheat complexioned and about 30years. He is born ina very poor familyand with a relative’s help completed his studies with part time jobs. He wastop in SSLC, Pre degree and Engineering. He immediately got a job in a softwarecompany. His room-mate who wanted to write IAS prompted him also to write IAS. He took Leavefrom the Company, money in hand helpedin surviving and studied well, and wrote IAS. Butmiserably FAILED. He did notleave hope, again wrote next year, again miserably failed. He felt hewas not fit for IAS, joined the softwarecompany again , and from sib’s pressure, again left it, studied withconcentration, but result- failed. Other IASwrote and passed friends, pointed out to him problems of his bad hand writing, method of presentation, and brief presenting as drawbacks. He went to ateacher making students for perfection in Hand writing. The ladyon hearing told him- OK sir, bring your child. I will help. Then he told it wasfor himself. He went to alady IAS officer, to help in the other two fields. With many ways she helped him. He wrote his lastattempt. Hecame up with colors- All India Rank 66. Now staff tells on seeing his hand writing- Sir,It appears as printed. I did not getsiesta while watching it yesterday. He was very fluent in Malayalam, with proper grammar, wordings etc. What prompted meto make this posting is his higherqualities like open mindness and frank talking. He felt no inferiority in telling that he failed inthree attempts to an open meeting, his draw backs and how he corrected them. There are smelling flowers.
