I've got a 10-gal with one betta in it now. A bit later on, I'll divide it and have two. I've got one of the clear plexiglass hinged covers on the tank, instead of a regular hood.
I'm eventually going to put in some kind of plants. The place where the tank sits doesn't get a lot of light, so I know I'll need one on top of the tank. What kind of light would be good to keep plants going and have a good spectrum to highlight the colors in the fish? The one I have now is mostly shades of blue - in the store, you could see some green and yellow, with a touch of red on his head. Some of that might have been the blue water he was in, too. The second one I want to be predominantly red. Ed
