AN: Written for the Harry/Snape FQF This takes place one year after the end of the 1st story. Also it should be noted that this story feels rushed because my original disappeared and I just wrote this the day of the deadline.
Summary: Harry�s power inhibitor stops working.

Harry sat on the soft blanket enjoying the sunshine and the smell of salt air. Severus would just now be finding him gone. Harry smirked softly and wondered if he and the others would panic. Not that Harry really cared, he was too busy enjoying the beach to care that his husband of two years and their family would just now be finding out that their little inhibitor had not only stopped functioning, but had been turned into a masking device. No one he didn�t want to find him, could find him.
Let them play god with someone else life for a change. See how they liked living with a shadow over their shoulder and wondering if they were going to find themselves locked away and under someone else�s control. Not that Harry planned to stay away from his home and his husband forever, but this was only the beginning of many changes. Just the night before he and Severus had argued, because Harry had wanted more freedom than he was being allowed.
Even after a year and a half of marriage and six months of sharing a bed, Severus still didn�t trust him to not try anything no matter that he hadn�t and still didn�t care about what was happening in the wizarding world. He knew very well that not much had changed since the group had come into power.
Relations with the rest of the magical world were at an all time high and several edicts made by the Ministry both before and after the war had begun, had already been over turned. Werewolves could now hold down jobs and were protected under the law. Something they had been denied under Fudge�s rule.
There were more muggle protection laws and Hogwarts was once again open and teaching students within her walls. Still Harry was more a prisoner than he was the mate of Severus Snape. That was going to change as of today. He wanted a life beyond four walls and the garden on the estate and he was going to get it, no matter what Severus or anyone else wanted.
He was twenty-five as of today and had come into his magical inheritance completely. This meant that there wasn�t a wizard alive who was as strong as he was and he did not intend to remain a slave to his husband and family. Harry took one last breath of the ocean air and apparated away from the shore.

When he reappeared he was standing in the middle of the Ministry a smirk on his face. He walked past the reception desk and the startled matron stationed there. He went to the elevators and calmly waited for one to arrive. He chuckled softly as he looked behind him and noticed that the matron was placing a call to someone. That someone was no doubt his husband.
By the time, he reached Severus� office he was whistling a find tune and even grinning merrily. George Weasley came out of his office and gapped at the sight of his friend. He gulped as he felt the magic coming off Harry and wondered if this was the reason he had been called into the Ministry by a panicked Ron. �Hello George, On your way to Severus� office?� Harry asked cheerfully, though he never paused on his way.
�Y-yes,� George said softly.
�Excellent we can go together. George merely nodded faintly.
When they walked into the office everyone spun to face them. When they saw and felt Harry faces paled. However, Severus looked relieved. �Where have you been I�ve been worried!� Severus snapped out, then froze as the magic touched him.
�Your inhibitor is no longer working.� He stated calmly.
�Nope, not even a little bit.� Harry told him cheerfully before walking forward and kissing his husband on the cheek. �You do realize that none of you control me any longer don�t you?�
�Yes, are you leaving me?� Severus asked softly.
�Of course not, despite your tendency to be a git I do love you.� Harry told him with a grin. Severus sighed.
�Well at least I no longer have to worry about keeping you out of the public. With the inhibitor no longer working no one can harm you.� Severus said calmly, a look of amusement on his face. Harry cocked his head to the side.
�Is that the reason you wouldn�t let me go to Diagon Alley by myself?�
�Of course brat! There are still those out there that would love to make a name for themselves by hurting the famous Harry Snape! Putting the inhibitor on you was a foolish idea, especially as I couldnotfigureouthowtogetitoff.� Severus finished in a rushed jumble of words.
�What was that Severus?� Hermione asked as she went to perch on the arm of Harry�s chair. The two friends shared a smile.
�He said he couldn�t figure out how to get it off,� Harry translated.
�You understood that?� Ron asked shocked.
�Of course, you should hear how he talks when he�s creating a new potion. One learns to understand jibberish.� Harry told him with a snicker.
�I do not jibber!� Severus growled in annoyance.
�You jibber,� The others said back to him in amusement.
Harry merely laughed.
The day hadn�t gone quite how he had thought it would and he had learned that Severus was only being protective, but he looked forward to seeing what else would happen later when he and Severus were only and could talk about the new freedom that Harry planned to put to go use and enjoy.
