They should follow the model developed by other Apple competitors- an open product framework with a lower entry price. A $350 Gateway laptop cant compare to a MacBook Pro, but not everyone wants/needs a high end product like that. There's no reason a tablet can't be produced for the same cost as a netbook but still be genuinely usable.
