Well I recently spoke with Netflix customer service on a separate issue (freakin' Twin Peaks Season 1 Disc 1 has been at the top of my queue on "long wait" for going on five months) and they stated that the recent increase in membership price plans was an effort to help the plan of acquiring more license for the streams. So, hopefully, in the coming months we may see more titles streaming.
