Hi everyone, Most of our developers run OS X, and most of those running OS X have 10.5.x and no problems with Sphinx or TS. However, for a new developer we've installed 10.6.3 and we are having major issues getting thinking- sphinx to use any our indexes that use xmlpipe as data source. MySQL data sources work just fine on the same machine.
Running rake ts:reindex will make Sphinx index all the MySQL indexes, but it simply skips over all the xmlpipe ones without raising any errors or providing any other output at all. Our TS configuration file is here: http://code.zhdk.ch/projects/madek/browser/trunk/config/development.sphinx.conf_with_pipe We use Sphinx 0.9.9, compiled on OS X 10.6.3 with Xcode 3.2, gcc 4.2.1. During the configure of Sphinx, the XML library (expat) was found just fine and compilation ran without issues. Sphinx itself runs great when using MySQL-based indexes. thinking-sphinx is version 1.3.16. We would be very grateful for any hints.
