Hi Garrett TS edge (both master and rails3 branches) has support for 2.0.1 in theory - 2.0.1 doesn't want to run on my machine though: http://sphinxsearch.com/forum/view.html?id=7496
So, it may need some tweaking, but I'd love to know how well it works. At this point, I'd recommend either 2.0.1-beta or, as a fallback, 1.10-beta. It'll mean when you upgrade TS later down the track, you should get improvements that just aren't possible using 0.9.9.
