Hmm, that's a little frustrating - 2.0.2 has been working fine for me locally. 
Still, good to know you're able to work around it.

As for real-time indices - I'm working through a rewrite of TS (see the edge 
branch), which will include real-time indices support. SphinxQL is required for 
that, and it's the switch to that from the older socket queries that prompted 
the rewrite. It's still a fair way from completion, and there's not actually 
any real-time indices support in there yet - but the basic functionality works. 
README has the list of everything that's missing.

But yeah, it's a matter of months, not weeks, to when this is going to be 
'complete'.
