Hi Pat sorry for the delay .
I have a rails unicorn worker also working in the same instance other than sphinx and delayed job connected to a load balancer . This error has not happened again . Things are working fine as i took a new instance and managed to re index the whole thing there and changed the sphinx server to the new one . i will update here if this happen again .
