Hello,
I've been having trouble making unicode indexing and searching
work on Thinking Sphinx. I need to support the following languages:
Chinese, Sinhala, Arabic, Tamil, Mongolian, Hindi. I've scoured the
internet and tried recommendations I found but none of them worked for
me. I'm using Sphinx 2.0.4, TS 1.4.11, Rails 2.3.5.
For instance, I placed the settings below in sphinx.yml and rebuilt
the index, which was supposed to make arabic work; however, searching
for arabic didn't return any result.
charset_type: utf-8
charset_table: "U+FF10..U+FF19->0..9, 0..9, U+FF41..U+FF5A->a..z, U
+FF21..U+FF3A->a......"
This is a critical feature of our project. Help will be greatly
appreciated. Thank you!!
