Sorry, my problem does not directly relate to thinkpads, but I've run of
ideas on my problem so I am requesting the advice from the experts on this
list. I have several PCs in a wireless network at home, my son and I are
using XP on two thinkpads, my wife is using Win2000 on a compaq laptop. My
wife connects to the network with a USB adapter. The adapter installs
properly, but after using the adapter for the first time she can not get
access to the LAN without first disabling the network card then
re-enablingit. The connection will now work fine until next reboot,
after which she
needs to disable and re-enable the card before it works again. We are tired
of this endless disabling/re-enabling. Is there any reason why it is so
cumbersome to connect her machine? Thanks.
