My wife's T42 has started having intermittant problems connecting on our
wireless network. The basic symptom appears to be that it will
connect/drop/connect/drop etc.

It does this with two different wirelss routers. It does this with two
different wireless cards (I installed a new one). There is a T40 and 2
T43s in the house that do not have the problem.

The problem seems to temporaryily be cured if you plug in an ethernet
line. After that, it will work fine for some time (even if the LAN line
is removed).

This is a Windows XP system and it uses the built in wireless management.
Access Connections has been removed (and a network manager installed with
iTunes was also removed). As far as I know, there is no other program
trying to manage the wireless connection, but ther are a bunch of
processes running that I cannot identify. It sures seems to be a software
issue; can anyone provide some troubleshooting advice to help me track
down the source of this problem?

Any help would be appreciated.
