It was reputed that pink screen could be caused by running the
computer in too-low temperatures.  That could easily have 
happened in a 600E that I got from ... Saskatchewan "It's a 
dry cold."  Grin.

But one difference with your case is that the pinkness seems to 
decrease somewhat (but not disappear) as the screen is left on,
each session.  Next session, it'll be back to very pink.

That particular pink screen isn't opened often, but over the 
years I'd say that the pinkness has decreased.   YMMV.
