Lenovo support, enter your model number, click Downloads and Drivers, and the battery check diskette is one of the downloads. Be sure to read instructions on how to use the software, as it's not obvious. You'll also probably want PC Doctor for running the batteries down.
The battery check is not nearly as useful as the Windows software Dominique mentioned, as it reports one of these paraphrased results:
