My x61s has this and igfxsrvc - they use 0 cpu according to winxp task
manager. Recommendation?

Curiosity question: I installed TPFanControl on my T61 and my wife's
T500. My CPU runs 56-58C and the fan runs all the time, sitting on a
desk; hers runs mid- to high 40s and the fan often doesn't run,
sitting on a softer surface. Should I be (a) surprised (b) worried
(c) blasé?
