I was surfing Amazon.com and ran across

It's an MLC but as I understand, that means 10 years vs, 100 years from an
SLC according to
this<http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=3036991>guide I
googled (I know it's probably exaggeration but if the guestimates
are ball park valid, then ~$200 seems worth 10 years of service and the
access and seek times will still be better than even a 7200rpm. I seem to
remember the last time this conversation came up, the issue of battery life
being questionable arose... So faster drive, longevity, bad battery life?

I've discovered the key to success is to never give up. You either learn
the right way, or you run out of ways to do it wrong. A win/win situation!
