Thank you both, I am accumulating external HDs and the ones from even a couple of years ago seem pathetically small. :(
I do have a 2TB external with USB3.0 (got it earlier this year from Staples.com for about $75!). I'm really looking forward to the USB3 on my X220. I've burned a few disks and ironically some have been CDs. :) I have a stack that cost a dime each, and my cheapest-ever DVDs were 11c after rebate, so $1 for a 25GB BD or $5 for a 50GB BD-DL seems expensive. But then I remember (as do we all, I'm sure) $1 and $5 floppies. I'm torn because all my external HDs are filling up (or are full) and I'm reluctant to delete without having a copy (even though I know that I'll never really need to access it). BDs just seemed cheaper in the long run but maybe DVDs and HDs and a little more discipline would do the job too. Not directly related but last trip to FL I found having to stop at the Redbox to be a real PITA (even though it was on my route) compared to online access. Haven't hooked up my WD Live box but I'm betting that will kill renting DVDs (or burning TiVo recordings) for me too. So maybe a BD burner isn't what I need (I need something that will read disks I receive but that's a lot cheaper). Thanks for the thoughts, I still don't know what to do. :( -- Andrew mailto:[email protected] Saturday, July 2, 2011, 1:09:20 PM, you wrote: > Jonathan Berry wrote: >> DVD or BD disks might fit into >> your plans, though.
