Picked up the replacement earlier this week and just tested it now.
Everything works well! :)  I tried the AC in a power bar and the
cigarette lighter adapter in one of those batteries people use now to
start cars instead of a boost from another car.

Two differences I noted from the old one. First the adapter from
Empower to cigarette lighter has a different FRU (03X6252 2011.01 vs.
41R4542 2009.12). Second the "hub" (splits to two connectors) was
circular and is now wedge shaped.
