As an admitted old geezer, I am also concerned by
language usage. I'm a bit shocked by the language
used by students at the large, state University where
I work. I find it no better (maybe worse) than that used
while I was in the military in the 60s and 70s.
Jeffrey is not the only person on the list who dislikes
the use of the word in question. My reasons are
probably similar.
