Looking at the price for a genuine battery it is about half the price
a paid for the laptop itself.
Too expensive at £90 from amazon and Lenovo are doing them at £140
Ridiculous.
£20 upwards for third party means i could buy 3 and have one work properly
I would be ahead.
I guess i will just have to risk it.
Thanks for the mention of the lock up symptom, I will have to look out
for that.

Don't buy a cheap battery, a buddy of mine bought one for his T61 and
everytime he
picked up the computer it locked up, no such issue with a genuine battery.
The 9-cell sticking out shouldn't be a problem.

Lo,
I am looking for a battery for the T60 so I can take it to college and
swap the battery during
a break since the included battery last 2hrs.
The course is 3 hours in an evening.
I do not want the 9 cell battery as it sticks out and since i am
travelling on public transport
it would get knocked about a little.
But apart from that i cannot really see how to distinguish between the
tens of sellers on
ebay. I will buying a clone battery as no one seems to be selling an
official Lenovo cell and
I have heard they are expensive anyhow.
Any tips before i take pot luck ?
I am in the uk.
thanks
