ActiveX control has probably been disabled in Internet Options.
Check instructions at http://www.tech-archive.net/Archive/WinXP/microsoft.public.windowsxp.general/2007-04/msg02263.html This article suggests to enable ActiveX for Internet sites. I have it enabled for Intranet & Trusted sites. Set to "Prompt" for Internet. Good luck. Serenella Ciongoli On Sat, 1 Dec 2012, Jeffrey Race wrote:
Trying to enable Network Connections in Services (Local) which doesn't display any services. I receive error msg "Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page" I can't find any Security Center setting related to Administrative Tools, only to internet stuff. Can anyone tell me what is happening and what is the fix? MS help not helpful, points only to internet stuff Jeffrey Race _______________________________________________ Thinkpad mailing list [email protected] http://stderr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/thinkpad
