Hi list, The CPU in my X120e idles around ~65Celcius. The fan sounds fine (no rattling or buzzing) and sounds like it's passing plenty of air. The outside of the machine gets slightly warm, and the air coming out isn't particularly hot.
When I do have the CPU pegged doing work, it will easily get over 90C. When doing heavy work I've wound up writing a script to pause the job when the CPU temperature gets too high. I wonder if the thermal pad on my heatsink is not effective, or if I should add some thermal grease. Any ideas/opinions? Thanks, - Alex -- Smart is knowing that a tomato is a fruit.
