I've had the same problem. It wasn't an AC problem but a router DHCP problem. (Had the same problem without AC, i.e., letting Windows handle the WiFi). Apparently when I disconnected from AP1 and then tried to go to AP2, it wouldn't properly release the IP address and thus wouldn't give it a new address and let it be used. Usually had to wait it out or reboot.
