Thanks to all who responded to my question. I went with uninstalling all of the USB devices and the Apple Device drivers, then rebooting and allowing Windows to reinstall the drivers. And it has been working without any issues since last week. Hopefully, it will stay like that or else I will try some of the other suggestions.

Re: T60 USB issues (Aryeh Goretsky (home)) Hello, I do not know why this happens, but have you tried the trick of opening the Device Manager (filename: DEVMGMT.MSC), selecting View|Show Hidden Devices and deleting the following: 'Disk Drives' section - all USB drives that are grayed-out 'Human Interface Devices' section - all USB HID class devices that are grayed-out 'Keyboards' - any USB keyboards that are grayed-out (should probably have been covered by HID stuff, but just in case) 'Portable Devices' - any devices that are grayed-out 'Storage Volumes' - any volumes that are grayed-out 'USB Controllers' - everything and then rebooting to let Windows re-detect all the hardware? Oh, do *not* delete any device drivers if prompted to do so by Device Manager, as Windows will need them in order to provide support for the hardware as it gets re-detected.
