The original Erlang mapping for Thrift has been unmaintained for a while
now.  As far as we've been able to deduce, everyone (including the
original author) has switched over to the alternative Erlang (alterl)
mapping, so I think it's time we switched over what is in the trunk.  I
think it is worth preserving the existing history of this branch (so
that annotate will work correctly), but it is a bit tricky because the
history is nonlinear, and Subversion isn't very good at representing
nonlinear histories.  I've attempted to linearize the history, as well
as adding a few patches on top.  Can the Erlang guys take a look at this
log and tell me if they think this is in good enough shape to drop on
the trunk?
