I understand you may not like it, but that will most likely happen anyway, and the question is to know where this will happen.
Let say Bjorn releases its compiler on Github and some folks like myself join to help. Wouldn't we become part of the Thrift community implicitly? That would just be sad to not share the same home and work together at Apache.
