We use Thrift with TBinaryProtocol over HTTP for tens of thousands of
clients, and use Citrix load balancers to send this to different
servers. This works well, although you'll want to do standard tuning
for connection persistence, dropped connections, etc.

As long as it's a connection-oriented load balancing, then it should
work just fine. Thrift is just TCP, after all.

Hi all, quick question that I'm hoping somebody can shed some light
on:
Have any of you any experience in using thrift along with the Cisco
11500 series
hardware load balancer? Our IT department wants to load balance a
service we
are building with thrift, using these infrastructure devices, and I'd
like to see if there
are any issues.
I'd love to hear from anybody who has any experience doing this, or
has any
specific info on why it should or should not work transparently.
Thanks,
Phil
